Lexi Clark

Myrel “Lexi” Clark is a New York–based filmmaker and cinematographer currently pursuing a BFA in Film & Television Production at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. She brings a strong foundation in both creative storytelling and on-set technical execution across narrative, commercial, and music video productions.

Lexi has worked on over 30 student and professional sets in roles including Director of Photography, Gaffer, Camera Assistant, Producer, and Sound Mixer. Her experience includes assisting on Essence Magazine’s May cover shoot featuring Joey Bada$$ and Serayah, serving as a Production Intern at Radiance Pictures, and working as a TA and Prep Tech at NYU’s Teaching Soundstage, where she prepares professional camera and lighting equipment and supports graduate-level camera intensives.

 

As a cinematographer, her recent work includes music videos “Fool” and “Two Ships” by Ava Trepeck, directed by Palmer Wells, a spec commercial for Important Flowers that was reposted by the brand, and the 2026 short film Pressed, written and directed by Jordan Aaron-Hall and Kaci Wallfall. She has also worked as a Production Assistant on the feature Concessions, directed by Mas Bouzidi, and as Second Unit 2nd AC on Basement People, directed by Christine Swanson and shot by Richard Vialet, ASC.

Lexi is a recipient of the Black Women in Film Network Scholarship and the founder of That’s a Wrap, a Detroit-based nonprofit providing underserved youth with free filmmaking education and mentorship. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., serving as Social Media Chair for the Lambda Chapter.

She is seeking opportunities to continue developing her craft within collaborative, story-driven production environments.
